Manchester’s grunge survivors and serial nonconformists Nine Black Alps have announced the release of new single Novokaine and a special 10 year anniversary gig in Manchester.
Unbelievably Sam Forrest and co have been around for a decade now, during which time the band had much early success with a sound that fell out of favour just as it seemed they were destined for big things. Sticking true to their grunge guns Nine Black Alps have four albums under their belt and a core of dedicated fans that continue keep the faith.
New single Novokaine is set for release on the 1st December via Hatch Records and sees the Alps recapturing the energy of 1st album Everything Is with loud, distorted guitar combined with melodic refrains coupled with a typically raw vocal. You can per-order the single here
A special anniversary gig is set to take place at Manchester’s Gorilla to celebrate 10 years since the first Nine Black Alps gig on the 14th December.
Not only is this a chance for the band to say a thank you to the fans but also opportunity for the fans to show their love for a band that have always stayed true to their sound.
I’m sure there’ll be a few surprises but one thing you can guarantee it will be loud and sweaty!!
